The Advancement Trail

On the advancement trail, a Cub Scout progresses from rank to rank, learning new skills as s/he goes. Each of the ranks and awards in Cub Scouting has its own requirements. As a scout advances through the ranks, the requirements get more challenging, to match the new skills and abilities learned as the scouts get older.

Lion:
For those that join in kindergarten, this is our youngest den.  The Lion Cub rank is an exciting program introduced in 2016 and our pack is thrilled to offer it to boys and girls that will be starting kindergarten in September of this year!
Bobcat:
This rank is the first thing any new scout Tiger Rank or higher earns. Scouting is all about keeping physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. This rank means you've mastered what it means it be a scout (and that you know our handshakes and salutes!)

Tiger:
For kiddos who are joining, or already in scouting, the Tiger den is for our first graders! As soon as a child completes their kindergarten year, they are eligible to join our Tiger den!
Wolf
By completing either the Tiger Rank or the 1st grade, your child is now ready to become a Wolf! This is an important time in scouting as children really begin to understand what it means to be part of a pack.

Bear
You guessed it! This is our 3rd graders! This group is special because some tools that are off limits to the younger dens become available to these scouts. Girls and boys in this den learn a lot about safety and the proper use of BSA specified equipment.

Webelos 1
This is the first part of the Webelos Program. Our 4th graders learn that Webelos stands for WE'll BE LOyal Scouts.

Webelos 2
Whether a veteran cub scout, or new to the group, our 5th graders are the eldest kiddos in the pack. This den is on the path of the Arrow of Light. Scouts learn to be more independent and spend more time with the troop to prepare for the Crossover Ceremony. After completing the Arrow of Light requirements and celebrating their accomplishments at the Crossover Ceremony, we say a temporary farewell as our hardworking cubs join the troop.

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
